Thesis

Hey everyone hope the beginning of the semester has been off to a good start and everyone is enjoying this snow day. I am personally sick of the snow and can't wait for spring. I hope that groundhog is right and spring will come early.

Lately, I've been working lot on researching small ice cream shop in the suburbs of Boston and how they market their company. A few have news paper adds and buy space that way in the local towns newspaper, a few have facebook pages. As far as design wise I think that I would prefer to make a facebook page for the social marketing side of my project rather than a full blown website.

I have also been working on refining the designs for the winter/holiday gift cards as well as working on valentines day and the normal ones as well. The letter head and envelop is pretty much finalized and the business cards are almost done as well.

This weekend I am going home and I plan to visit one or two of the shops in my town and others near me. they following places I plan to look at are below..

I hope to get inspiration and some information to see what they have done...

As Stephan mentioned during my presentation he said to sell some products as a marketing tool. So I plan to dive into figuring out how to brand my logo onto a bowl or cup or one of those glass ice cream bowls or even a spoon possibly a tee shirt even. That is my next thing to do research on after i figure out how those places above have branded their company.
