I'm sure we're all experts at doing self portraits by now as we've all done in drawing class.
I thought taking this concept and pushing it in Flash would be something that would be really fun and also a project that will be really personal. Flash is definitely growing in our industry and I'd also like to develop this as an interactive piece as well.
My self portrait will focus on my personal experience at Emmanuel and how design has become my passion over the last few years.
In particular I really enjoy motion design and see it more and more. I'd like to combine that passion with a self reflection since I've never done anything like it before.
This portrait will abstractly and subtly tell the story of how despite personal struggles I've always found stability in my work and show what it's done for me.
Sound/song will accompany my animation. The piece will run around 2-3.5 minutes.
Since I've grown such an interest in flash and interactive design through some networking yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the CEO of a creative agency called Proximity lab, who also consults with Adobe. It was really cool to get some career advice and see how far design can really be pushed, so I thought I'd share.
