After dicussing my project with Professor Jacobs, he suggested that I go see the oscar-nominated short films of the year to see how well these shorts are put together and to analyze how I can consolidate and have valuable and effective information in a short amount of video time. So the next thing I am going to do is go to Kendall Square to watch the film.
In your sr. thesis, you will research a specific area of graphic design and document the design process of your final thesis project in a thesis process book. Your thesis projects and process books will exhibited at a departmental showing at the end of the year.

Film Stuff
So, last week I received a better camera from Professor Doubek. I began to play around with that, learning its specifics and the capabilities of the videocamera. During this time I began to shoot and get footage for my film. The footage that I took was at night - all of the footage was of areas around boston. I just captured some random shots of the city, people, stores, street signs and landmarks, etc. After uploading all of the footage that I had onto the computer, I had to decide which program I would be using to put this short together. Lately I have been trying to learn how to use Final Cut Pro. Some things I understand, but there is so much more that I have to learn and I do not want to spend the last two months learning a program and making a lackluster attempt to put together a short film. So, I have decided to use After Effects. It took a few hours of playing around on the computer (with the footage that uploaded) to figure out how use After Effects again.
