Thesis Ideas...

Hey everybody :)

I’ve decided to do a fashion magazine for my thesis. The reason I chose a magazine for my thesis is because I really enjoy designing layouts and would love to work for a magazine someday. I am very passionate and would like to eventually work in fashion as well and would like to fuse together my various fashion and graphic design skills in this project. I want to photograph my models and backgrounds separately, rework the images in Photoshop and integrate them for a unique and interesting layout. I still have a lot of brainstorming to do in terms of coming up with a concrete theme and name for my magazine that can convey my idea of an overall interesting fashion magazine. I want to have more meaning behind the basic idea and add personal touches throughout. I will use mostly my own clothing and have asked a few good friends to model for me. A lot of my inspiration is coming from Urban Outfitters style and magazine. The photos and layouts are always creative and different than most generic catalogues out there. Over break I have started to work on a few images in Photoshop, came up with ideas for different scenes/merchandise that I will showcase and gathered inspiration from other fashion magazines and collage pieces. I’m starting to get excited about putting this all together.
